.. for over 800 years in Anras.
The ‘Schloss Anras Residence’ was built as a summer palace for the Bishop. In time, the estate increased in size from Anras to Obertiliach and on to the 'Lienzer Klause'. In 1754 the Residence was extended and renovated in the Baroque style. This extensive domicile of the Bishops of Brixen developed a cultural and artistic opulence which inspires even today. This cultural gem was purchased by the Messerschmitt Foundation in 1991. Valuable panelling, the courtroom dated 1755, the 'Cornstore' (Kornkasten) and all the other rooms may again be admired today.
