Nestling in a beautiful landscape and surrounded by majestic mountain peaks, Anras sparkles with a really special flair, which the Bishops of Brixen have also enjoyed since the 12th century. The ‘Schloss Anras Residence’ was built as a summer resort for the Bishops and as such enjoys a chequered history. The Messerschmitt Foundation bought the building and the adjacent Country House and has preserved this treasure of alpine culture. The rooms, pictures and gardens bear witness even today of the history of past centuries.
